Independent Director’s Association has a new member

The Independent Director’s Association welcomes Ted Jonas as a newest member who brings 25 years of law practice experience to the team.

Ted Jonas is a US-trained and educated lawyer licensed in Washington DC. He is an independent member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Silknet, a large Georgian internet, cable television, and telecoms provider. He is also Senior Counsel with the international law firm Dentons. Ted served on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia for 10 years and is now a member of the Board of Directors of the Caucasus Nature Fund, an international conservation trust fund that supports the protected areas of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Ted was Managing Partner of DLA Piper Georgia between 2005 and 2014. In addition to over 25 years of private law practice experience, most of it at the international level with leading law firms, Ted worked for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, two members of the U.S. Congress, and clerked for a U.S. federal appellate judge. Ted received his B.A. degree in History from Cornell University in 1984 and his J.D. with honors from Cornell Law School in 1991. He is a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident of Georgia and lives in Tbilisi.
